Welcome To Heart to Paws

Meher and Jiya are two students who share a collective love for dogs and created Heart to Paws at 3 a.m. on a random night. One of the key challenges they noticed was the lack of safe and loving homes for vulnerable stray dogs. There are approximately 70,000 stray dogs in the city of Noida, highlighting the crucial need for intervention. Their mission is to give a safe home to stray and endangered dogs. The NGO is dedicated to improving the lives of our furry companions by raising funds and providing them with essential resources. Recognizing the dire circumstances faced by many dogs, whether they are strays or pets, the organization strives to ensure they receive the necessary medicines, food, and clothes. This NGO is a safe environment where they connect shelters to people, spreading awareness about the urgency of the matter, and placing dogs in homes with loving families.

Meher Jhamb is a remarkable and compassionate 16-year old student from Step by Step School. Since her childhood days, she has had the innate ability to connect with nature and show empathy to not only her friends but also animals. Her love for four legged creatures stems from her memories with her dog, and since then she has sought out opportunities to pet dogs and feed them. Her passion has brought this NGO to life, which has aptly been named Heart to Paws, and fills her heart with joy. Meher is driven by her personal experience and unflagging love for dogs. This young co-founder is determined to make a meaningful difference through this NGO.

Jiya Bhatia is a compassionate and diligent sixteen-year-old student from Step by Step School. She has developed a deep fondness for dogs throughout her childhood, despite not being permitted to have one of her own. Nevertheless, she consistently ensures the well-being of dogs within her community by offering them an area to rest in her garden and even providing them with blankets during cold winter evenings. At 3 am, she came up with a thought aimed at improving not only her surroundings but also broadening her horizons for the betterment of our four-legged friends. This vision exemplifies her unwavering commitment and satisfies her inner child.
